It is actually distilled from honey (about three litres per bottle.) It then spends at least three years in oak barrels to produce a spirit with incredible length and balance. We are rather chuffed to have it on the shelf.

Baczewski was appointed vodka maker to the Imperial Court of the Hapsburg Empire, and coincidentally was awarded the gold medal in the Melbourne Exhibition in 1888. 125 years later it was rediscovered by Melbourne’s three most prominent vodka enthusiasts on a drunken afternoon in Lublin, and thank God we found it! In production since the 17th Century, it is an elegant clear potato vodka with citrus, floral and mineral notes, and our only vodka from Austria.
